ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME!?!

Last time I checked it was still September, not JANUARY!! I'm just not ready for this. I have a feeling the next 6 months (or probably longer) are going to be spent indoors, under the covers, nursing a LARGE bottle of whatever booze I can find.

My body is not built for cold weather. I am meant to live here in California!

FOREVER!!!

Bright side...it's gone up 1 degree, and it's what 8 am there? Plenty of time to warm up today.

It IS cold, but the sun is out. (That weather channel icon is not quite giving you accurate info.) I'm sorry that it seems so daunting, nonetheless. You CAN do it, one moment at a time. Praying for peace and joy to "warm up" your heart.

Just think all the pets will cuddle up with you all the time to stay warm. So there's that! Also heating pads and electric blankets work nicely. Honey keeps our house freakin COLD. It'll be 90 outside and 65 in the house..

Not to rub it in, but it was in the low 80s today in Chicago. CHICAGO. But, because you are a Chicago native you are also keenly aware that it snows here. A lot. But not more than MN. And you lived there too. So you can at least be thankful on the days that I will complain to you that I can't back out of my driveway because the snow is up to my eyeballs, you will at least be warmer. Maybe not drier... but warmer! I got your point, though. No place is CA. Hey, maybe Tom can scout out some Ruby Red Slippers for ya.

Nah. You'll be in the REI store, gearing up for all the great hiking you'll do on Mt. Hood or Mt. Ranier. Or you'll go biking. There's TONS of outside things to do despite the "cold" weather. It's all about the perspective from which you look at it: if you're in California yes, 48 degrees is cold. If you're in some remote part of Canada, 48 degrees is pretty good. I'm thinking that in 6 mos., your blog is going to be talking about all the fun things you'll have found in Greater Seattle. Don't despair yet.

Girl, I would switch with you in a heartbeat!! It's still in the freakin' 80s here!! I HATE IT!! There's no reason I should still be sweating at the end of September. I've had enough!

Don't worry - you can make a giant human blanket with all the homeless people to keep you warm.

Plus, they smell like wool.
